Hello New World

March 19th, 2008

So it only took me three years…The expectations and anticipations of entering this joint venture have accordingly reached heights that seem almost impossible to fullfil. I hope to join the already renowned bloggers on 7inch.dk and furthermore contribute and do my upmost to preserve the bizarre sense of humour displayed on this very site.My field is mainly music though I’m constantly overheard talking about clothing, fashion, trends, graphic design, etc. To kill the rumours and remove any remains of doubt I haven’t got the slightest clue to what I’m talking about, this is all a part of being a metro-kid roaming in the environment of ”young poor entrepreneurs” as Silas so eloquently put it.A longtime shoe addict but now a fallen shoe soldier due to the circumstances of having to settle with a low income as all hopeful studying youngsters do.Recently moved to the most disturbing places of all … Aalborg, notoriosly (in rap terms) known as Double A to study sociology. My surroundings ”somehow” got me more focused on finishing various projects such as my long awaited debut solo album which will prove to be something far different from the initial starting point with me building a name for myself in the hip hop genre. This solo project will be mentioned again in the near future when I’m low on self esteem. As for now I’m boozing in Copenhagen and enjoying easter. I can be caught rocking a sparkling golden jacket and rest assured this is not due to my megalomania. The front of the jacket has the initials SF which is often misinterpreted. It is often confused with a danish political party but really it’s not though my last vote went that way (not ashamed to say it). Walk past me and the back of the jacket will have letters so large it’s uncalled for jumping at you… forty-niners!!!Which brings us to the essential part… What’s wrong with Supreme? If we’re basing a collection on nostalgia at least do it for the sports jocks as well. Though San Fransisco’s history (gayish) might have a few people thinking why is he so fond of that place? I place my emphasis on a whole different matter and this should be spoon fed to any kid…

Yes the dynamic duo! You guessed it! Joe Montana & Jerry Rice; the best fucking partnership in the whole league EVER!!! Recognize!!! And I’m still claiming this by rocking the original jacket from the so-beloved eighties.Speaking of jackets and retrofashion, take a look at this dude…

If the name and the album cover has the sober functioning part of your brain saying: ”Oh yeah! I remember this dude”, pull out that cover and look at the back of it. Goodness gracious… The Cold Chillin’ college football jacket is a must have. Supreme I’m calling out for help here! That jacket is insane! Did anybody say reissue? On the musical side of things I will follow the path already laid by our CEO, Joakim7inch, and give a hellalotofprops to my boys When Saints Go Machine. Being a friend of theirs I get to sneakpre their new material now and then and the shit is BAAAANAAAANAAAS! That’s all the insider information you’ll get from me so far so don’t stop me on the street asking when their album drops or if they’re single! This is sober journalism!

The pick of the week for all you deucebags:

As a closure I finally succeeded in finding one of my favourite vinyl covers from a record by an unkown artist…
